Good to know
Questions, answered.
The practical things people want to know before booking a free first session.
Do I have to be sober to start therapy?
No. You can start exactly where you are. Therapy is a judgment-free space to understand the pattern and build change at a pace that's honest and sustainable for you.
Is this a 12-step program?
No — this is individual psychotherapy with a licensed clinician. It can work alongside 12-step or other recovery supports if you have them, but it doesn't require them.
What if I'm not sure it's really an addiction?
You don't need a label to reach out. If a behavior keeps costing you more than it gives, that's worth exploring — and the first session is free, so there's no risk in finding out.
